Colorado-Wyoming Climate Resilience Engine Launches Multifaceted Startup Support Program

The Colorado Wyoming Climate Resilience Engine (CO-WY Engine), funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation, is thrilled to announce the launch of its Engine-specific startup support program, aimed at empowering climate resilience startups across the Colorado and Wyoming region and the United States, and growing a diverse innovation ecosystem in the region. This program offers a range of tailored services designed to help startups address the challenges bringing climate technologies to market and drives commercial growth in the emerging climate resiliency marketplace. The Engine startup support program is one of many means the Engine will deploy to build and sustain a nationally leading ecosystem in climate resiliency.

Our support services are designed to offer personalized assistance, expert advice, one-of-a-kind connections, and valuable funding opportunities. Capital access and investor readiness are top priorities in our support services. We focus on three key areas: non-dilutive capital, the CO-WY Engine grant program, and private capital access. For instance, we assist companies seeking non-dilutive funding, such as Colorado Advanced Industry Grants and SBIR matching in Wyoming. Additionally, the CO-WY Engine will run periodic grant processes for Colorado and Wyoming-based startups. We also facilitate access to private capital to ensure comprehensive support for our partners.

“We are excited to launch the CO-WY Engine’s Startup Support Program to help climate resilience startups navigate their journey from concept to commercialization. By offering tailored support, expert guidance, and capital access, we aim to drive innovation and make a significant impact in climate resiliency. Without National Science Foundation support this program would be unattainable.” said Mike Freeman CEO of CO-WY Engine.
