A week of creative thinking, planning, lightbulb ideas and revisions on old ones; This is what Fort Collins Startup week is made of. This year hundreds of entrepreneurs gathered together in various venues throughout Fort Collins to network with those new and old to the startup business at the Fort Collins Startup Week 2017.
The core team, with Andrew Schneider as lead and Innosphere’s own Emily Wilson as one of the eight core team members, made sure that this year’s Startup Week was packed with informational and educational events that covered the vast interest our niche community focuses on here in Colorado.
“[Andrew] has really introduced a new spectrum of classes and brought in a new slew of entrepreneurs that hadn’t participated in the past,” Nick Armstrong, head of WTF Marketing and Startup Week core team member, said.
Over a hundred possible events meant that local entrepreneurs had to choose each discussion wisely to tailor the week to fit their needs. These discussions varied from creativity to financed focused, business building to solopreneurship.
“The energy and synergy between entrepreneurs was impressive. Being able mix and share ideas was phenomenal for the community,” Peggy Lyle, Director for the Downtown Fort Collins Creative District, said.
Innosphere was one of the fifteen venues within Startup Week, hosting events daily. Some of these included a session discussing Mergers & Acquisitions led by Innosphere’s Mike Freeman and an Access to Capital talk in which Innosphere and Larimer SBDC partnered together to host a panel.
“With every opportunity involved, Innosphere was there and helping,” Armstrong said.
Innosphere is always looking for a way to get involved within the Fort Collins community, and to support the local entrepreneurs. Fort Collins Startup Week not only gave Innosphere, but all who attended, the opportunity to meet those like-minded people who are just as excited by new ideas as we are, and a networking web that will benefit these entrepreneurs even past the annual week long event.
