Innosphere Ventures Life Sciences Incubator Hits Stride, Exceeds Expectations

Innosphere Ventures is proud to announce the completion of recruitment and the launch of its new regional Life Sciences Incubator.

Following a successful kick-off meeting with the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA), who is providing program funding, the program has diligently focused on onboarding, recruiting, and launching, culminating in a robust cohort poised for success. It is built upon the foundation laid by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) funding over the past two years. into a regionally focused incubator.

Recruitment began in January with 9 university partners and 3 state bioscience associations across 6 states resulting in 35 high-caliber enterprises who all met the rigorous selection criteria. The composition of the cohort is well-rounded, encompassing sectors such as Medical Device Technology, BioPharma, Health Technology, and Digital Health, among others.

In addition to the diverse array of life sciences disciplines, over 90% of companies align with identified Key Technology Focus Areas (KTFAs) named in the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022, particularly in public health and biomedical sciences, and artificial intelligence and machine learning.

The program now transitions into the Foundation phase where participants will focus on crystallizing their visions into tangible business plans. Subsequent phases will emphasize acceleration and momentum, culminating in a showcase event celebrating each company’s achievements.

Ambitious yet achievable performance metrics have been established to measure commercialization progress and impact, including empowering companies to reach critical capital milestones, hiring their team, developing an intellectual property (IP) strategy, and securing strategic partnerships.
