Local companies, investors, and energy corporations attend Colorado–Israel Events
At the end of April, local companies, investors, and energy corporations were invited to attend two events that allowed collaborations between Israel and Colorado companies. Those who attended had the chance to meet Israeli companies like Siga, Moga International, and IOSight. At these events, Colorado companies learned more about the U.S.-Israel BIRD Energy Program that has grant funding to help with collaborations that happen between U.S. and Israeli energy companies, as well as get an overview of the Israel-Colorado Innovation Fund. It was a fun opportunity for both Colorado locals and new Israeli partners to get together and have dialog about local and international energy startups.
Welcoming words on Wednesday night at Brownstein Law Firm came from Kathleen Staks, CEO of Colorado Energy Office, and a partnership overview came from Les Abelson, the North America Program Director of the Israel Innovation Authority.
The next morning began the B2B day here at Innosphere. Attendees got the chance to listen to presentations by Cleantech resources in Colorado and presentations from Israeli and Colorado energy companies.
“These events gave us a platform we hadn’t had before,” said Gili Elkin, Israel-Colorado Innosphere Fund General Partner. “We will now be able to continue to bring together companies from Israel and Colorado for future collaborations.”
These partnerships give Innosphere and other energy companies in Colorado the opportunity to make connections with startup companies we would not be able to make otherwise. A big thank you to Gili Elkin and all those from the Israel Innovation programs for joining us last week.
