Innosphere Ventures is Recruiting New Board of Directors Members
Innosphere Ventures is a Colorado based 26-year-old non-profit organization that is dedicated to advancing science and technology based economic development in our region. It operates as a 501(c)(3) organization and focuses on accelerating the growth of technology start-ups, providing specialized facilities to entrepreneurs, and venture capital.
Our goal is to build a better economic future for our region by supporting science and technology startup ventures that tackle the world’s most pressing issues and challenges in cleantech/climate tech, life sciences and advanced software applications. Innosphere Ventures is embarking on major new programming and initiatives in 2024 and is seeking to expand its board expertise to support this new direction.
Board of Directors Opportunity
We are currently searching for exceptional individuals who can join our Volunteer Board of Directors. As a member of the board, you will have a significant role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization and contributing to its mission of advancing science and technology-based economic development.
Qualifications
We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications:
- Strategic Vision: The ability to think strategically and provide insights that will help guide the organization’s long-term goals.
- Leadership and Governance Experience: Proven experience in leadership roles, preferably on the board of directors of other organizations, with a strong understanding of governance principles.
- Networking: Leverage your knowledge and connections in the industry to help drive the mission of Innosphere Ventures.
- Passion for our Mission: A genuine interest in the organization’s mission and a desire to make a positive impact on society through science and technology advancement.
- Technology Domain Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in cleantech, lifesciences, software in a startup or established enterprise.
What you will do on the board:
- Participate in strategy development.
- Assess and develop Innosphere Ventures leadership team.
- Provide financial oversight by reviewing and approving reports, budgets and financial strategies.
- Attend board meetings, generally every month, and other relevant company events. Consult in area of expertise as needed. Time commitment is expected to be ~ 4-6 hours a month.
- Expect a commitment of 3 years
